Things Us Oldies Say

Things Us Oldies Say

(Things We Said Today)

Don’t pull your face that way

If the wind does change

Your face will stay that way

No way to rearrange

No, don’t talk to strangers

When you are so far away

I hope you will remember

Things us oldies say

You do as I say now

Not as I do, mind

Don’t say a harsh word now

If there’s nothing kind

Better wear clean undies

In case a car runs over along the way

I hope you will remember

Things us oldies say

Leave it alone or you will find

That kind of love will put hair on your palm

And though we may go blind

Love is here to stay and that's enough

Don’t make me come in there

When your father’s home

It’s time to cut your hair

We'll go on and on

Better wear clean undies

In case a car runs over along the way

I hope you will remember

Things us oldies say
