Don’t you know I can’t remember

All my life cause my mind’s deranged

Gone forever, not for better

Must have gone and remain unchanged

 

Don’t you know I have dementia

And there are many friends I still can’t recall

Some are dead and some are living

In my life I’ve forgotten them all

 

I’m sure I had friends and lovers

When I think of love as something new

 

And these memories have no meaning
